Urdu-English wedding invitation wording can help grandparents, parents and younger relatives read the same celebration details comfortably. Some guests prefer Urdu script, while others find Roman Urdu easier on a phone. The examples here pair simple Urdu wording with an English meaning and a Roman Urdu alternative. They are starting points for your family's review, with placeholders for every personal detail.
Choose Urdu script, Roman Urdu or both
Ask which version your guests actually read. Someone who speaks Urdu may prefer an English written invitation; another relative may want Urdu script. Roman Urdu uses Latin letters, so it is useful for readers who understand spoken Urdu but are less comfortable with the script. There is no single universal Roman Urdu spelling.
Keep each version complete. A guest should not need to read an English address explanation and an Urdu time note to assemble the plan. You can put the venue's original map address on its own line while explaining the ceremony and directions in Urdu.
Avoid choosing a decorative font before checking the text. Long family names and formal titles need enough space and line height. A font may look attractive in a short heading but be tiring in a paragraph. Preview the actual invitation on the smallest phone you expect relatives to use.

Agree on each person's preferred name and title. English transliterations can differ even within one family, so do not assume an online spelling is the one a relative uses. Keep titles consistent and use forms that reflect the hosts' wishes.
Write month names and distinguish the arrival time from the ceremony time. If you include 'after Asr' or another prayer reference, add a confirmed clock time as well; guests travelling from another location should not have to infer the venue's schedule. Verify practical timing with your hosts and venue.

Check mixed scripts on a phone
Urdu reads from right to left, while a Latin-letter address or phone number may need its own left-to-right line. Keep the map address in the venue's official form so a taxi driver or navigation app can recognise it. Add Urdu directions separately instead of replacing the searchable address with a loose translation.
In SaidVows, Premium and Luxury include Urdu controls and a right-to-left invitation layout. That does not automatically create an Urdu version of your story, event names or custom RSVP questions. Write those translations yourself and test the guest form, including every dropdown choice.
Ask a fluent Urdu reader to check tone, spelling and line breaks in the invitation preview. Ask a Roman Urdu reader to check that their version sounds natural when read aloud. Then ask both to identify the date, venue and RSVP deadline without help. If either person struggles, simplify the wording before sharing it.
